Scheduling software platform Vagaro has rolled out a new integration with Yelp that routes consumers directly from a business's Yelp review page to its Vagaro scheduling page. The feature reflects broader industry pressure to shorten the path from discovery to conversion.

The integration, currently available for iOS users, places a "Book now on Vagaro" button on participating businesses' Yelp pages. Tapping it routes the user directly to the business's Vagaro scheduling page, where they can select a service, provider, and appointment time.

The feature also works through Yelp Assistant, the platform's AI-powered conversational chatbot, which launched earlier this year as part of Yelp's broader push to make its platform more transactional.

The Yelp integration is live now for businesses using Vagaro's scheduling platform on iOS. Android and desktop availability is slated for later in 2026. Businesses interested in the integration can access it through Vagaro's platform settings.

The Problem It's Solving

The friction point is a familiar one: someone reads great reviews on Yelp, feels ready to book, and suddenly has to go hunt down a phone number or navigate to a separate website. That gap has real consequences. Data from GetApp shows that 94% of consumers are more likely to choose a provider that offers online booking, and 70% prefer it when the option is there.

Yelp's own numbers make the stakes a little clearer: 82% of users hire or buy from a business they found on the platform within a week, and nearly 60% reach out within a single day. These numbers illustrate that Yelp isn't just a review site; it's where a lot of purchase decisions actually get made. The platform sees 2.4 million daily visitors and has 28 million app installs, and those users are typically in comparison mode, not just browsing.

It's a Competitive Space

The Yelp integration is a direct play for consumers who expect to find, vet, and book services entirely from their phones, often after hours. Vagaro isn't alone in chasing these demographics. Companies like GlossGeniusFresha, Square Appointments, and Booksy are all competing in the beauty and wellness spaces, and the ability to embed a booking button in the right places has quietly become a major differentiator.
